most proud professional moment/greatest achievement/most exciting moment
Undoubtedly his most enjoyable experience was being taken through a wood in Worcestershire during the winter of 1990/91 in the company of Lord Cobham’s woodman who was describing various trees to him and the means by which they would be felled and transported from site.  The purpose of the visit was to deal with a dispute over a right of access out of this wood but the visit followed a particularly heavy fall of snow and the tranquillity of the occasion and the setting have proved memorable.

interests outside work
Sport (seated or preferably standing), gardening (in particular the vegetable garden) and reading.
