quote about your work, what you bring to the job and the clients
The “lawyer’s lawyer” of the practice.

areas of work, expertise and clients
Geoff enjoys unusual or novel insurance and accident claims with points of law involved. He undertakes a wide range of heavy PI and insurance work, and is a fatal accident specialist. Geoff is identified in Chambers as a leader in the field. He also undertakes MIB work, local authority liabilities, policy problems and interpretation, and enjoys smaller cases where an important principle is at stake.

career history/ route to Buller Jeffries
Geoff has worked at Buller Jeffries since 1971, starting as a trainee (then called an articled clerk in the days when they were fortunate to be paid). He qualified in April 1973 and made partner in 1979.

most proud professional moment/ greatest achievement
Taking several cases to the Court Of Appeal. Most recently, helping the practice to gain the Investors In People award.

most embarrassing professional moment
Shortly after qualification, driving to Kidderminster for an inquest and getting caught in a snowstorm. Momentarily losing control of his car, Geoff was pulled over by a police officer in an unmarked following vehicle and advised (rightly) to slow down. Later meeting the selfsame police officer at the inquest who gave evidence and facing the embarrassment of having to cross-examine him.

anything you think people would like to know/ would be surprised to know about you
Geoff has run the London Marathon three times, including racing and beating Sir Steve Redgrave in 2001.
