Albert started his professional life at Midland Assurance, which became Eagle Star and is now Zurich, in 1965. Started work at Buller Jeffries in February 2004 and was appointed as an Associate in April 2007.

Albert is a former council member of Birmingham Medicolegal Society, a former member of the civil litigation committee of Birmingham Law Society, the Birmingham Insurance Institute, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the British Insurance Law Association and a former regional chairman of FOIL.
