CHAMBERS UK 2009
Buller Jeffries’ staff are celebrating their recognition yet again this year in the Chambers’ directory. Apart from recognition of the firm’s personal injury strengths, inclusion in a new product liability category and the only firm that category outside London within the UK is both a compliment to the firm’s talent and a boost to its longstanding presence in that field. The independent research has this year focused on the “high quality” and “sharp legal brains” of the firm.
The editorials are as follows:
The firm:
Personal Injury: Mainly Defendant
This “inspirational, flexible and high-quality” niche practice defends insurers and companies in some unusual EL/PL cases, and in industrial disease claims. Sources particularly highlight the “sharp legal brains, value for money and absolutely excellent team.”
Product Liability: Mainly Defendant
The only firm in the tables located outside London, Buller Jeffries received a considerable amount of positive feedback from delighted clients. One described the lawyers as “versatile and amenable to suggestions,” while another expressed approval of the firm’s “very competitive rates.” The Birmingham team elicits particular praise for its work advising major insurers on product liability issues.
The lawyers:
Roger Coates heads the team product liability team, and is summed up as “a safe pair of hands who has exceptional knowledge.”
Derek Adamson is highly regarded for his “fantastic attention to detail and intuition.”
